There’s no time to get bored on our original and most popular boat trip. This family favourite offers great value. Exploring around 10 miles of coast on an average expedition, you will be amazed at what we can fit in to 1 hour. After a thorough safety briefing, we power up and head out to our first stop, Cardigan Island – an important nesting area for a variety of seabirds, including guillemots, razorbills, cormorants, and fulmars as well as various gulls.
We then explore along the coast between Cardigan Island and Mwnt, an important feeding area where we might see our resident bottlenose dolphins. We have the pleasure of seeing bottlenose dolphins and/or harbour porpoise on 50% of our 1 Hour Bay Explorer trips.
If time permits (and we can tear ourselves away from the dolphins!) we the head to Cemaes Head where the highest sea cliffs in the Pembrokeshire National Park await. The secluded beaches here are very popular with Atlantic grey seals and the spectacular sea caves are a particular favourite with the children on board. Our boats are ideal for entering the caves to explore and fire the imaginations of the young and the young at heart!
Our extended trip is for enthusiastic wildlife watchers. Building on our 1 Hour Bay Explorer itinerary, the extra time exploring further along the coast – increasing your chances of an encounter with our resident bottlenose dolphins – and/or providing the opportunity to spend more time observing these beautiful and charismatic animals.
After visiting Cardigan Island and Mwnt, we travel further east to explore more dolphin feeding areas. On a 1.5 hour trip we may cover up to 20 miles taking us as far as Aberporth.
On average, we see bottlenose dolphins and/or harbour porpoise on 80% of our 1.5 hour trips.
Our premier trip offers one of the ultimate dolphin-watching experiences in UK waters. These trips build on our extended 1.5 hour itinerary, allowing more time again to explore further along the coast – yet again increasing your chances of an encounter with our resident bottlenose dolphins – and/or providing the opportunity to spend more time observing these beautiful and charismatic animals.
After visiting Cardigan Island, Mwnt and Aberporth, we travel further east to explore more dolphin feeding areas. On a 2 hour voyage as many as 30 miles, as far as Tresaith, Llangrannog and Ynys Lochtyn.
On average, we see bottlenose dolphins and/or harbour porpoise on over 90% of our 2 hour trips.

Exact routes will vary due to weather, sea and tidal conditions and are at the complete discretion of the skipper. Please remember that although we know all the best places to look, we are dealing with wild animals and therefore specific sightings cannot be guaranteed.
We understand that caves are particularly popular with children and our skippers will try to ensure a visit during your trip. However in certain weather or tidal conditions this may not be possible.
