1 Hour Bay Explorer

There's no time to get bored on our original and most popular trip. It's a family favorite & offers great value. Covering around 10 miles on an average trip, you'll be amazed at what we can fit into 1 hour. After a thorough safety briefing we power up and head out to Cardigan Island, our 1st stop as its an important nesting area for a variety of seabirds. We then explore the coast between the Cardigan Island and Mwnt, an important feeding area and where we most regularly see our resident bottlenose dolphins.

On average we see bottlenose dolphins and/or harbour porpoise on 60% of our 1 hour trips.

Time permitting (sometimes we just can't tear ourselves away from the dolphins!), we then head to Cemaes Head where the highest sea cliffs in the Pembrokeshire National Park await. Here the secluded beaches are very popular with atlantic grey seals and the spectacular sea caves are a particular favorite for the children on-board. (Yes our boats will fit in the caves!).

1.5 & 2 Hour Extended Bay Explorer

Our premier trips, for the more serious wildlife watcher, offering one of the ultimate dolphin watching experiences in UK waters. Building on everything we pack into our 1 hour Bay Explorer, but with extra time to explore further along the coast, increasing your chances of an encounter with our resident bottlenose dolphins and/or giving you opportunity to spend more time with them.

After visiting Cardigan Island and Mwnt we use the extra time to head further east to other dolphin feeding areas. On a 1.5 hour trip we can cover up to 20 miles, taking us as far as Aberporth and on a 2 hour trip as much as 30 miles, taking us as far as Llangrannog & Ynys Lochtyn.

On average we see bottlenose dolphins and/or harbour porpoise on 80% of our 1.5 hour trips and 95% of our 2 hour trips.

Please Note

Exact routes will vary due to weather, sea and tidal conditions and are at the complete discretion of the skipper.  Please remember that although we know all the best places to look, we are dealing with wild animals and therefore specific sightings cannot be guaranteed.

We understand that caves are particularly popular with children and our skippers will try to ensure a visit during your trip.  However in certain weather or tidal conditions this may not be possible.
