Our Boats

About Our Boats

We started with one boat and a big dream in 2007 and have grown steadily since then, investing in a second boat in 2012 to accommodate the high demand for our popular dolphin watching trips during the summer months. The boats have been replaced since then, and we are proud of our modern craft which are safe, comfortable and manoeuvrable – perfect for running our accessible, family-friendly wildlife tours.

Our boats are purpose built Rigid Hulled Inflatables (RHIBs), similar to those used by the RNLI due to their outstanding sea-keeping abilities, enabling us to operate through March and October in a variety of weathers. Because they are also much more agile and manoeuvrable than a “hard” boat, we are able to get into places where more traditional vessels dare not venture… sea caves – here we come!

Bay Pioneer

Bay Pioneer was added to the Bay to Remember fleet in 2016 and was succeeded by a new vessel who took on the name in 2018. As a partner boat to Bay Explorer, Pioneer is also 10 metres long and powered by New ultra quiet 300hp engines fitted for the 2021 season. Pioneer is similarly equipped with the latest digital navigation equipment and comfortable seating for up to 12 passengers.

Bay Explorer

Bay Explorer was the name of our original 10 metre long RHIB when we started the business in 2007. The name was proudly passed down to a replacement vessel for the 2017 season, a decade later. Replaced with a 2018 vessel in 2020. Powered by new ultra quiet 300hp engines fitted for the 2021 season. The newest bearer of the Bay Explorer name is equipped with a suite of the latest digital navigation equipment and has comfortable seating for up to 12 passengers.

Private Charter

Running family-friendly wildlife boat trips will always be our priority; however, during quieter periods our boats may be available for individual charter for commercial tasks (such as safety boat work) or photographic and filming work. Over recent years we have worked with the BBC, S4C and the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.

Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
